Singer-actor Lee Seung Gi has reportedly gifted his parents a high-end townhouse valued at around 2.6 billion won ($1.8 million).
According to industry sources on the 20th, Lee transferred ownership of a detached home in Shinhyeon-dong, Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province—property he had held for about ten years—to his parents. The residence spans 416㎡ of land with a structure built from one basement level to a single ground floor.
Lee originally purchased the upscale townhouse in July 2016 for 1,339,410,000 won ($912,000 USD). The neighborhood is known as a favored suburban retreat for Korea’s conglomerate families, recognized for its privacy and luxury.
Recent sales indicate rising property values: a similarly sized home within the same complex sold for 2.6 billion won ($1.76 million) this past July, suggesting the property Lee gifted to his parents commands a comparable market price.
Lee Seung Gi married actress Lee Da In in April 2023, and the couple welcomed a daughter in February the following year. Lee Da In is the daughter of actress Kyun Mi Ri and the younger sister of actress Lee Yu Bi.
