MBC has unveiled the star-studded lineup for its upcoming Friday–Saturday drama Judge Lee Han Young (literal title), premiering January 2nd, 2026.
The series follows a corrupt judge who, after living as a pawn of a powerful law firm, travels ten years back in time to right his past wrongs and deliver justice.
At the script reading, director Lee Jae Jin (The Spy Who Loved Me, Motel California), writer Kim Kwang Min, and co-director Park Mi Yeon joined the main cast: Ji Sung, Park Hee Soon, Won Jin Ah, Tae Won Seok, Baek Jin Hee, Oh Se Young, Hwang Hee, Kim Tae Woo, Ahn Nae Sang, and Kim Pub Lae.
Ji Sung stars as Lee Han Young, a once-corrupt “servant judge” under the elite Haenal Law Firm. After his mother’s death triggers an awakening, he’s thrust a decade into the past—determined to redeem himself and bring down the system he served.
Park Hee Soon plays Kang Shin Jin, the ambitious chief criminal judge who aims for absolute power. Once allies, the two become fierce rivals in their pursuit of justice. Won Jin Ah portrays prosecutor Kim Jin Ah, a determined investigator seeking revenge for her father’s death, torn between doubt and trust toward Han Young.

After the reading, Ji Sung shared, “With such talented actors and staff, we’ll make ‘Judge Lee Han Young’ something truly special.” Park Hee Soon added, “I really enjoyed the original novel, so I’m excited to see how everyone brings their characters to life,” while Won Jin Ah called it “a thrilling revenge drama viewers will enjoy.”
Based on a hit web novel and webtoon that surpassed 102 million views, Judge Lee Han Young blends time-travel mystery with gripping courtroom drama and moral reckoning.
MBC’s Judge Lee Han Young premieres January 2nd, 2026, at 10:00 PM KST.
