Lee Kwang Soo returns to theaters this fall with Love Barista, a survival comedy romance directed by Kim Sung Hoon of Confidential Assignment. The film has unveiled its main poster and trailer, teasing Lee’s hilarious transformation as the “Asia Prince” stranded abroad.
The story follows Kang Jun Woo (Lee Kwang Soo), a global celebrity who suddenly finds himself alone in a foreign country—without his manager, passport, or a single dollar—and must navigate an unexpected adventure of survival and chaos.
The newly released poster and trailer showcase the unpredictable misadventures that begin when Jun Woo’s impulsive getaway turns into a full-blown disaster. Far from his polished “Asia Prince” image, Lee dives into a refreshingly raw performance as he eats, drinks, and struggles to survive.

The film also features a colorful lineup of supporting characters that heighten the fun. Um Mun Suk plays Jun Woo’s hot-tempered manager and best friend, while Kang Ha Neul appears as Cha Do Hoon, a rising star who threatens Jun Woo’s throne. Yoo Jae Myung takes on the role of renowned director Lee Won Seok, adding further energy to the story. Joining them are River Huang as Tao, a mysterious traveler Jun Woo meets by chance, and Jo Woo Jin as Mr. Han, a figure who throws the group into even deeper trouble.
Known for his standout performances in films like The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure and Sinkhole, Lee Kwang Soo once again showcases his signature comic timing and emotional depth. Following his acclaimed roles in Karma, which earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards, Lee is expected to deliver another scene-stealing performance only he could pull off.
Love Barista also marks a reunion between Lee and director Kim Sung Hoon, twelve years after My Little Hero. The duo return with an upgraded brand of laughter and heart in this latest survival comedy.
Love Barista opens in theaters November 19th.
