Zayn Malik is publicly thanking his new duet partner, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, following the massive success of their surprise collaboration, “Eyes Closed.” In a heartfelt post on social media on October 14th, the singer had nothing but praise for the K-pop superstar.
“Jisoo… you are an absolute legend. I loved this collaboration in every way,” Zayn wrote alongside a behind-the-scenes photo of the two smiling together on their music video set.
He then added a sweet, personal note: “Thank you for allowing me to be the coolest dad,” followed by a crying emoji. Jisoo quickly responded with a supportive comment of her own, writing, “You already are.”
The celebration comes as “Eyes Closed” continues to dominate global charts. The track shot to #1 on YouTube’s trending music videos chart upon its release and has hit No.1 on the iTunes Top Singles Chart in 40 different countries.
Zayn, who left One Direction in 2015 to pursue a solo career, has a daughter, Khai, with his former girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid, providing sweet context for his “coolest dad” comment.
