Ju Ji Hoon, Park Jung Min, Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Tae Ri and Kim Da Mi have been announced as honorary judges for the 21st Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival, which is set to return next month after a four-year hiatus.
The festival is widely seen as a crucial launchpad for up-and-coming directors and actors in the Korean film industry and is the nation’s only short film festival focused on specific genres like comedy, horror, and action.
This year’s revival is being guided by an executive committee of seven prominent directors, including Jang Jae Hyun (Exhuma) and Han Jun Hee (D.P.). The main jury will be led by veteran director Kim Sung Soo, who will be joined by a panel of other acclaimed filmmakers.

The Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival will run from October 16-20. Screenings will take place at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul, and the closing ceremony will be held at Naver 1784.
