A manager for the popular K-pop boy group ZEROBASEONE is under fire after a video surfaced online showing him appearing to swing his fist at fans at Incheon International Airport. The incident has once again sparked a heated debate about the aggressive security measures often used for K-pop idols.
The video was posted to X on July 31st by a fan. The clip shows the manager raising his fist toward a crowd of fans who were gathered with cameras. The camera then shakes violently and a clear ‘thud’ sound can be heard.

The fan who posted the video claimed they were left with a bruised elbow. “It’s unacceptable to punch a fan, but I was appalled to see him raise his fist without distinguishing whether the person was a fan or just a regular passenger who came to watch,” they wrote.
The altercation reportedly occurred as fans crowded the group, obstructing their departure path through the airport. The manager appeared to become agitated while trying to create space for the members to walk.
Adding to the controversy, fans have pointed out that the manager in the video had previously appeared on the popular MBC variety show Point of Omniscient Interfere, where celebrity-manager relationships are shown. This latest incident is one of many that have fueled an ongoing controversy in the K-pop industry regarding the ‘excessive’ and sometimes physical methods used by staff to manage crowds.
