Park Jin Young has been confirmed to star in tvN’s new weekend drama 100 Days of Lies (literal title), set to air in the first half of next year.

According to reports on July 29th, the GOT7 member and actor will take on the male lead role in the upcoming series, joining previously announced stars Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Hyun Joo.

100 Days of Lies is a historical spy drama set in colonial-era Gyeongseong (modern-day Seoul). The story follows the journey of the city’s most skilled pickpocket, who strikes a deal with independence fighters and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General office under a false identity as a spy.

The drama boasts an impressive creative team, bringing together director Yoo In Shik, known for hit series Dr. Romantic and Extraordinary Attorney Woo, with writer Ryu Bo Ri, best known for Do You Like Brahms?

Park made his acting debut in 2012 with the KBS drama Dream High 2, and just four months later, debuted as a member of GOT7 in May of that year. Since then, he has balanced a dual career as an actor and singer, steadily building his resume across both industries.

He’s appeared in a number of fan-favorite dramas, including The Devil Judge and Yumi’s Cells. After being discharged from the military last November, Park returned to the screen with The Witch and the upcoming film Hi-Five. Most recently, he gained major attention for his role in the tvN weekend drama Our Unwritten Seoul, which wrapped on June 29th. He’s currently filming the JTBC series Shining (literal title).
