Cha Eun Woo temporarily bids farewell to his fans as he begins his military enlistment today, July 28th.
The ASTRO member is set to enter a training center for basic military training before joining the Army Military Band, following his successful application to the Ministry of National Defense Military Band last May. He is expected to be discharged on January 27, 2027.
Yesterday, Cha Eun Woo shared a glimpse of his short haircut during a live session with fans. Reflecting on the change, he said, “It feels strange every time I look in the mirror. It’s a bit more real now that I’ve cut my hair. It’s probably the shortest it’s been since I was two or three years old. It’s amazing that a day like this has come for me.”
He also revealed, “Last night, I had dinner and drinks with my ASTRO members. My managers and close friends also joined, and we had a great time together. The members all cheered me on, telling me to ‘return safely and in good health.'”
In his final message, Cha Eun Woo expressed deep gratitude to his fans, saying, “Thank you for being with me throughout my twenties, the first chapter of my life. I’m curious and excited to see who I’ll become in my thirties when I return. I’ll serve well and come back. I will always be grateful, love, and support you. I wish you good luck with everything, big and small.”
Cha Eun Woo also shared several selfies on his social media accounts, showing off his new buzz cut.

His agency, Fantagio, announced, “To prevent safety issues due to crowding, the location and time of his enlistment will remain private, and there will be no official event.”
