‘All of Us Are Dead’ Season 2 Starts Shooting with Original Stars and Fresh Blood Joining the Fight

Netflix is officially reviving its global K-zombie sensation All of Us Are Dead for a second season—and it’s bringing back its beloved cast along with some new faces.

 

On July 22nd, Netflix announced the start of production for Season 2 and confirmed the cast: returning stars Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, and Lomon will be joined by new cast members Lee Min Jae, Kim Si Eun, Roh Jae Won, and Yoon Gai.

Based on the legendary webtoon, All of Us Are Dead made waves with its intense portrayal of students trapped in a high school as a zombie virus outbreak unfolds. The show debuted to critical and fan acclaim, quickly entering Netflix’s global Top 10 (non-English TV) and racking up 560.78 million hours viewed in its first month.

Now, the story returns on a larger scale. Season 2 expands the world beyond Hyosan High—just when life seems to have returned to normal, a new zombie virus emerges and begins to engulf Seoul.

At the heart of the story are returning leads with more intensity. Park Ji Hu reprises her role as On Jo, now a college student trying to forget the horrors of the past until she’s pulled back into another nightmare. Yoon Chan Young is also back as Cheong San, whose fate was left ambiguous, heightening anticipation around his return. Cho Yi Hyun returns as the fierce half-zombie Nam Ra, and Lomon reprises his role as Su Hyeok, still holding on to his feelings for her.

Joining the returning leads are several exciting new additions. Lee Min Jae (Weak Hero Class 2) plays Maru, On Jo’s college friend.Rising star Kim Si Eun (Squid Game Season 2) plays Ju Ran, a campus social butterfly who bounces between student council and every club on campus. Roh Jae Won (Uncle Samsik) steps in as Han Du Seok, a National Intelligence Service team leader tasked with containing the crisis. Meanwhile, Yoon Gai (Undercover High School) brings lively energy as Jong Ah, a bold and bubbly student with zero filter.

With production now underway, All of Us Are Dead Season 2 will stream exclusively on Netflix.
