Coupang Play’s new original series Confidence Queen is set to premiere on September 6th at 9:10 PM KST.
Confidence Queen follows a trio of con artists, each with their own backstory, who team up to take down modern-day villains in a fast-paced revenge scam. Starring some of Korea’s hottest actors, Park Min Young, Park Hee Soon and Joo Jong Hyuk, the series promises an action-packed ride filled with wit, charm, and deception.
Park Min Young plays Yoon Yi Rang, a con artist with an IQ of 165 and a genius-level brain in the top 1%. As the team’s leader, she uses her unorthodox thinking and sharp charisma to mastermind elaborate scams.
Park Hee Soon takes on the role of James, a seasoned veteran con artist known for his humor and quick wit. He brings a versatile and clever edge to the team’s operations.
Joo Jong Hyuk plays Myung Gu Ho, the youngest member of the crew. With a pure heart and upright nature, he brings puppy-like charm and playful energy to the trio.
The series is directed by Nam Ki Hoon of Big Bet and written by Hong Seung Hyun, known for Criminal Minds.
Confidence Queen will premiere exclusively on Coupang Play in Korea and will be available globally through Prime Video in 198 countries and regions, excluding South Korea.
