Another celebrity couple has just announced their wedding.
Minah from Girl’s Day and actor On Ju Wan will be tying the knot this November.
An insider from the entertainment industry told MyDaily on July 4th that the pair will get married this November.
Their upcoming marriage comes as a surprise since the couple never publicly revealed their relationship before this announcement.
The two first connected back in 2016 when they both starred in the SBS drama Beautiful Gong Shim. Although they weren’t a couple at the time, they remained close colleagues in the industry. Their relationship grew stronger after reuniting in the 2021 musical The Days (literal translation). When Minah’s father passed away last year, On Ju Wan stood by her side throughout the funeral, offering support.
A close source shared, “Their relationship has been an open secret since last year. On Ju Wan took great care of Minah during a difficult period. Their mutual care is exceptional, and after dating for a long time, they decided to marry this winter.”
Another entertainment insider added, “They both share a deep passion for acting, which brought them together. Having spent years in the industry, they built a strong trust and bond that eventually led to their marriage.” The source also mentioned, “They’re enjoying this new chapter in their lives more than ever.”
Minah debuted in 2010 as a member of Girl’s Day. Alongside her group activities, she expanded her acting career with roles in SBS dramas like Beautiful Gong Shim (2016), My Absolute Boyfriend, and TVING’s Deliveryman!. She is now the second member of Girl’s Day to get married, following Sojin, who married actor Lee Dong Ha in 2023.
On Ju Wan made his acting debut in 2002 with the SBS drama Rustic Period. He gained wider recognition in 2003 on KBS 2TV’s Mountain Cabin Meeting – Rose War (literal translation). He has appeared in films like Flying Boys, The Taste of Money, and Obsessed, and starred in dramas including SBS’s Punch and The Penthouse. Currently, he’s performing in Mahagonny, his first musical in three years.
