Former THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon has been accused of soliciting prostitution.

On June 19th, 2025, a citizen filed a police complaint through South Korea’s civil complaint system, requesting an investigation into Ju Haknyeon for allegedly violating the Act on the Punishment of Acts of Arranging Sexual Traffic.

The complaint also demanded an investigation into a producer and a representative of One Hundred Label, citing the “serious nature of the allegations, which could involve direct participation, aiding, or arranging the act.”

The case has been transferred to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and is being handled by the Gangnam Police Station. Authorities will decide whether to open an investigation after reviewing the facts.

In May 2025, Ju Haknyeon met with former adult film actress Kirara Asuka in Tokyo. The incident sparked controversy, leading to his departure from THE BOYZ and the termination of his contract with One Hundred Label. Allegations of prostitution surfaced shortly thereafter. One media outlet cited multiple sources suggesting possible illegal activity, including claims that Ju Haknyeon paid Kirara Asuka.

On June 19th, 2025, Ju Haknyeon released a handwritten letter denying the allegations, stating, “I have never engaged in prostitution or any other illegal acts mentioned in the rumors or reports.”
