Following their long-awaited military discharge on June 11th, BTS members Jimin and Jungkook took to the fan platform Weverse for a live broadcast, where they shared heartfelt messages and a gentle safety plea to fans gathered outside HYBE headquarters.
Before diving into their post-discharge reflections, Jimin addressed the fans lining the streets near the building. “It’s quite hot outside, and the alley is narrow,” he said. “We’re worried there could be accidents. It’d be best for everyone if you headed home first.”
Reiterating his concern, he added, “We’re incredibly thankful that you came, but for safety reasons, we hope you’ll head back home. Safety is the most important thing.”
Fans from around the world had gathered in Seoul’s Yongsan District, outside HYBE’s main office, to celebrate the members’ return. HYBE marked the occasion by decorating the exterior with the phrase “WE ARE BACK” alongside the company logo—a symbolic welcome back and a nod to a new beginning for BTS.
According to reports, more than 1,500 fans—many waving national flags—had congregated outside the building, creating a striking and emotional scene.

During the livestream, Jimin brought some laughs as he admitted, “You might not believe it, but I’ve actually been dieting for a while. I gained 10kg in the military—this is me after losing a lot of it.”
