IU has released the second music video from her album A Flower Bookmark, Pt. 3.
Her agency, EDAM Entertainment, unveiled the music video for “A Beautiful Person” on IU’s official YouTube channel on May 29th. It follows the title track “Never Ending Story” as the second video from the album.
The music video follows a boy and a girl as they grow from childhood to adulthood. Over time, the boy, burdened by personal struggles, starts hiding behind a mask. He later meets the girl, who also wears a mask, and they feel a connection. In a touching rooftop scene, IU and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo appear together, taking off their masks to reveal their true selves.
The video ends with an unexpected twist, highlighted by voiceover narration from IU and Cha Eun Woo.

“A Beautiful Person” is a modern reinterpretation of a song originally by Korean rock legend Shin Jung Hyun. The track was rearranged by genre-defying K-pop group Balming Tiger, with member sogumm contributing to the outro’s writing and composition. The music video was directed by Balming Tiger’s Lee Suho, with creative direction by San Yawn. Cha Eun Woo also makes a surprising cameo at the end.
