IU and BTS member V were recently spotted together, drawing massive attention across online communities.
On May 15th, eyewitness accounts and photos of the two dining together at a restaurant in Seoul began circulating rapidly online. In the released photo, V is seen wearing a casual black T-shirt and gazing off in the distance. Seated across from him is a woman presumed to be IU. Fans pointed out that the checkered shirt and bucket hat she’s wearing closely resemble IU’s usual style, fueling speculation that it’s indeed her.

Back in January 2024, V starred in the music video for IU’s song “Love Wins All“, where the two played a couple. They showcased natural chemistry as they portrayed characters navigating love, pain, and fleeting happiness in extreme circumstances.
Some fans are calling the recent sighting a new “tease” for the couple “Taejun” and “Jihye”—nicknames created by a fan who commented that the pair’s visual chemistry was deeply emotional. Although these weren’t the official names used in the video, the nicknames stuck after V once posted, “Taejun and Jihye, I hope you’re happy,” on his account, further sparking fans’ imagination.

Meanwhile, V began his mandatory military service in December 2023 alongside fellow BTS member RM. He is currently serving as a sergeant in the Special Duty Team (SDT) under the military police. He is expected to be discharged on June 10th. BTS is expected to resume full-group activities sometime in the second half of 2025, after all members complete their service.
