JYP Entertainment has achieved a major milestone, ranking 3rd globally and 1st in South Korea on TIME’s “World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025” list.
TIME and Statista unveiled their rankings of the top companies excelling in sustainable growth on November 27th. In the Technology, Media & Services category, JYP earned an impressive score of 93.66 points, earning its place on the top three global corporations and making it the highest-ranking company from South Korea. Notably, it was the only Asian company to make the top 10.
The “World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025” list recognizes 500 companies worldwide for their excellence in sustainable development and financial stability. Rankings were based on an evaluation of revenue growth, financial health, and environmental impact, with each factor equally weighted for a total score out of 100.
Statista explained, “JYP Entertainment achieved high marks in revenue growth, financial stability, and sustainability. The company’s strong adoption of green energy and its placement in the top 5% of low-carbon-emission firms globally are particularly noteworthy. It’s rare for a single company to excel so consistently in all areas,”
JYP Entertainment has been recognized for its active ESG management activities, receiving the highest ‘AA’ rating among domestic K-pop entertainment companies in the 2023 Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG assessment. Moreover, the company was the first domestic entertainment company to publish a sustainability report in 2022 and has been at the forefront of efforts for a sustainable future by documenting its ESG initiatives and activities. In June of this year, the company released its third sustainability report, disclosing the results of its double materiality assessment, which considers the impact of the company’s business activities on the environment and society as well as the impact of sustainability issues on the company’s financial performance.
The report highlights JYP’s commitment to human rights, workplace safety, and sustainable practices. CEO Jung Wook expressed the company’s dedication, saying, “JYP is committed to creating a positive impact on society. Our third sustainability report showcases the efforts and achievements of JYP as we work with our artists, trainees, employees, fans, and partners to build a sustainable future.”
