Yoo Ah In has reportedly sold his house in Itaewon for 6.3 billion won ($4.5 million).
Yoo sold his Itaewon property last month for 6.3 billion won, according to reports from the real estate industry on December 2nd. He had initially hoped to sell it for 8 billion won ($5.7 million), but the final price he settled for was 6.3 billion won. The house gained attention when it was featured on the MBC show I Live Alone.
Meanwhile, Yoo Ah In is currently facing charges of illegal drug use. His second appeal hearing took place on November 19th and his legal team argued against the prosecution’s push for a harsher sentence. They stated, “The marijuana use in Los Angeles was out of curiosity during a trip, not part of planned drug use.” They also explained, “As an actor, Yoo often had cosmetic procedures to maintain his appearance, which required propofol for sedation.”
The legal team also mentioned the recent passing of his father and emphasized that this was his first offense in their request for leniency. The next hearing is set for December 24th, when the trial is expected to end.
Yoo Ah In is accused of using propofol and other medical drugs 181 times between September 2020 and March 2022 in Seoul. He was initially sentenced to one year in prison and fined KRW 2 million. However, the prosecution appealed, saying the sentence was too light, and the case is still ongoing.
