During a press conference for the upcoming film About Family on November 12th at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in Seoul, Lee Seung Gi addressed questions regarding the controversy surrounding his in-laws, who have recently been the subject of legal scrutiny.
In June, the Supreme Court reversed an earlier acquittal of Lee’s father-in-law on stock manipulation charges, prompting a renewed wave of public scrutiny. At the time, Lee’s agency Big Planet Made Entertainment issued a statement urging, “Please leave my family out of this.”
During the press conference, Lee carefully approached the subject, saying, “This is a private matter, so I have to be cautious,” and acknowledged that his previous remarks may have unintentionally suggested that his family “bears no fault.”
He clarified, “What’s happening with my in-laws is their matter. Since our marriage, my wife and I have established an independent household apart from our respective families.” He concluded by adding, “I don’t think it’s appropriate to comment further on this, and I believe it’s important to act carefully to avoid misunderstandings.”
Lee Seung Gi married actress Lee Da In, the younger daughter of actress Kyeon Mi Ri, in April of last year.

I think people need to leave these actors alone. There’s enough suicide going on in Korea with the actors now. Pressuring these people to be perfect. In every way is not sustainable. Please stop before we have more suicides. We just lost a beautiful actor. We don’t need anymore.
I know how you must feel but the media us brutal, especially in South Korea
Good luck
