The chemistry between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won was a key factor in the success of Queen of Tears. Their poignant romance as a couple facing a crisis in their third year of marriage captivated viewers in every episode. Ultimately, this obsession led to dating rumors. During his Asia tour fan meeting, a selfie taken by Kim Soo Hyun resembled a photo that Kim Ji Won had posted earlier, sparking suspicions of a romantic relationship. Although Kim Soo Hyun quickly deleted the photo to dispel the dating rumors, it highlighted the immense interest surrounding the two.

Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon teamed up in Lovely Runner, which ended on May 28th this year. The drama follows a time-traveling love story about Im Sol (played by Kim Hye Yoon), who moves between the past and present in an attempt to change the fate of her beloved Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok). Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon drew attention not only for their romantic acting chemistry but also for their similar visuals, which fueled dating rumors and proved their popularity.

Love Next Door also sparked excitement with its actors’ dating rumors. The drama follows a woman attempting to reboot her life who returns to Korea and becomes entangled with her childhood friend, with whom she shares a complicated history. It concluded with a peak viewership rating of 8.5%. Notably, the dating rumors between lead actors  Jung Hae In and Jung So Min added extra excitement to the already intense love stories in this series.

The rumors started when it was announced that Jung Hae In and Jung So Min would be going on a photoshoot together. This unusual move in the industry led to speculation about their relationship, and the rumors intensified when Jung Hae In, during an interview at the time, responded with “No comment” regarding the dating rumors. Although they neither confirmed nor denied anything, they became the most buzzworthy K-drama actors for four weeks straight, and their drama concluded with impressively high viewership ratings.
