Disney Plus has announced that the highly anticipated original series The Tyrant will premiere on August 14th and released a captivating teaser poster.

The Tyrant is a high-stakes chase action thriller that follows the chaos that ensues after the final sample of the “Tyrant Program” goes missing due to a delivery mishap. Various factions, each with their own motives, find themselves in a relentless pursuit to either secure or eliminate the sample.

The newly unveiled poster features a striking contrast of mysterious blue tones with the bold red title. The shattered sample container with ominous black smoke swirling out hints at the emergence of a dangerous entity that was never meant to see the light of day. The tagline, “The last sample has disappeared,” sets the stage for an intense chase.

Directed by Park Hoon Jung, known for his unique genre films like New World and The Witch series, The Tyrant marks his first foray into original series. The show boasts an impressive cast, including seasoned actors Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho, and Kim Kang Woo, who reunite with Director Park. Newcomer Jo Yoon Su also joins the project, promising the emergence of a fresh leading lady.

The Tyrant will consist of four thrilling episodes, offering viewers a compact yet intense viewing experience.
