NMIXX’s apparent audio mishap at a university festival has sparked controversy, with their agency stepping forward to clarify the situation. On May 30th, JYP Entertainment released a statement addressing the incident that occurred during NMIXX’s performance at Shinhan University’s festival.

JYP explained, “The audio glitch during NMIXX’s ‘DICE’ performance was an event planned to heighten the festival’s atmosphere. The organizers were aware, and an event-specific track was used. However, to ensure natural reactions, the NMIXX members were not informed beforehand.”

The agency continued, “We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused to the audience and fans. We will take extra care to prevent such incidents in the future. We are sincerely sorry to the spectators and fans who supported NMIXX at the festival.”

On May 27th, NMIXX encountered an audio stoppage during their performance of “DICE” at Shinhan University’s festival. Despite the interruption, the group showcased their strong live vocals, continuing their performance seamlessly, which garnered favorable responses from K-pop fans.

However, the incident became a hot potato when the university’s student council, which organized the festival, revealed on social media that the audio glitch was a pre-arranged performance element. JYP has since clarified that it was intended to enhance the event’s atmosphere, and issued an apology for any misunderstanding caused.
