In Episode 6 of tvN drama Lovely Runner, Im Sol (played by Kim Hye Yoon) finally realizes she’s the inspiration for Ryu Seon Jae’s (Byeon Woo Seok) first self-composed song, “Rain Shower,” and that she was his first love.
After listening to Seon Jae’s heartfelt confession on an MP3, Im Sol starts paying closer attention to him. This newfound awareness leads her to discover Kim Tae Sung’s (Song Geon Hee) true reason behind his confession, and she ends their relationship. This leaves Tae Sung grappling with unfamiliar feelings of love for the first time.

Meanwhile, Seon Jae relentlessly pursues Im Sol. His genuine affection deeply affects her as his feelings for her grow stronger. “I used to hate rain the most,” Seon Jae confesses. “But it was raining the day I met you. And it was a good day. How could something I hated all my life suddenly become something I like? I thought it was just a coincidence, but no. I don’t hate it anymore. I don’t think I ever will. Rain, and you too.”

However, burdened by the knowledge that she must depart soon to save Seon Jae’s life, Im Sol rejects his confession.
The episode ends on a tense cliffhanger. Determined to avoid the accident she saw, Im Sol resolves to stay home. Yet, her worry for the waiting Seon Jae compels her to venture out. As heavy rain pours down, Im Sol comes to a realization: she was Seon Jae’s first love. Her heart overflows with emotion.

But fate seems to have other plans. A mysterious taxi carrying a menacing figure blocks Im Sol’s path. Before she can react, she disappears. Seon Jae arrives shortly after and finds only her abandoned umbrella on the rain-soaked ground. The speeding taxi vanishing down the alleyway hints at a dangerous turn of events.
