Ryu Seung Ryong, Yang Se Jong, Lim Soo Jung, Yunho and More Join Thrilling ‘Low Life’ Cast on Disney Plus

Disney Plus has confirmed the upcoming release of Low Life (working title), a thrilling series about a sunken ship and the ambitious villains vying for its riches.

Inspired by the real-life discovery of a treasure ship off the coast of Sinan in the 1970s, Low Life is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by author Yoon Tae Ho. The series is in the capable hands of acclaimed director Kang Yoon Seong, known for Bigbet and The Outlaws.

A remarkable cast of leading actors, including Ryu Seung Ryong, Yang Se Jong, Lim Soo Jung, Kim Eui Seong, Kim Sung Oh, Hong Gi Jun, Jang Kwang, Kim Jong Soo, Woo Hyun, Lee Dong Hwi, Yunho, Lim Hyeong Jun, Lee Sang Jin and Kim Min, will bring the story to life.

Leading the pack is the versatile Ryu Seung Ryong, who consistently delivers captivating performances across diverse characters, like the goofy squad chief in Extreme Job and the super-powered dad in Moving. Joining him is the ever-charming Yang Se Jong, who stole hearts in dramas like Doona! and Dr. Romantic. Lim Soo Jung, known for her range, will undergo a dramatic transformation for this role, a departure from her work in films like Cobweb and drama Search: WWW.

Adding depth and experience to the cast are Kim Eui Seong, who left a lasting impression in 12.12: The Day andUnder the Queen’s Umbrella, and Kim Sung Oh, whose solid acting chops have been showcased in works lik e12.12: The Day, Kingmaker and Lies Hidden in My Garden.

Kim Jong Soo, who seamlessly moves between film and drama with titles like Alienoid: Return to the Future, Smugglers and My Perfect Stranger joins the cast alongside Lee Dong Hwi, known for his unique charm in films like Extreme Job, Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman and Big Bet.

Rounding out the cast is Yunho, who has steadily built his acting experience through Disney Plus projects like Race and web drama Meloholic. A rising star to watch, Kim Min impressed everyone by beating out 856 hopefuls in the drama’s audition.

Low Life is coming exclusively to Disney Plus.
