Lee Byung Hun‘s Los Angeles home was burglarized.
On January 30th, Lee Byung Hun’s agency BH Entertainment informed iMBC Entertainment that burglars had broken into his residence in the United States. “Thankfully, no one was injured,” they emphasized.
The previous day, American media outlet TMZ reported that the Squid Game star’s home was burglarized and trashed. According to the report, one of Lee’s staff members stopped by his Los Angeles home last week to find the place ransacked. The report also mentioned that the thieves smashed a sliding glass door to get inside the house. Fortunately, the incident went down while he was out of town, and it’s unclear what, if anything, was stolen and how much those items might be worth.
Local police stated, “Lee Byung Hun was not the target, and it appears to be the work of a gang that has been stealing from wealthy neighborhoods in Los Angeles recently.”
Lee Byung Hun and his wife, Lee Min Jung, bought the Los Angeles home in 2019 for about $2 million (approximately 2.6 billion won).
Lee Byung Hun is currently in Korea for the filming of Squid Game Season 2. In December of last year, his wife Lee Min Jung gave birth to their second child.
