We just might be able to see Gong Hyo Jin and Park So Dam on the same screen as sisters.
According to SPOTVNEWS, on the 25th, Gong Hyo Jin and Park So Dam confirmed their roles in Gyeongju Chronicles (literal title). The film will be a “revenge road movie” where a mother, having lost her youngest daughter, learns of the perpetrator’s release and sets out to Gyeongju for vengeance, accompanied by her three daughters.
Following the announcement of Gong Hyo Jin’s participation in the film, Park So Dam is expected to join as her sister. This marks the first time the two will appear together in a film, and there is much anticipation about their dynamic in this mother-daughter revenge drama.
Park So Dam is currently receiving accolades for her performance in the drama Death’s Game. She also made a notable return to the big screen in the first half of last year with the film Phantom. Meanwhile, for Gong Hyo Jin, this upcoming film signifies her much-anticipated return to cinema following her marriage to singer Kevin Oh in 2022.
Gyeongju Chronicles is directed by Kim Mi Jo, who made a remarkable debut with Gull. Director Kim received critical acclaim both domestically and internationally, winning the Korean Competition Grand Prize at the 21st Jeonju International Film Festival in 2020 and a Special Mention at the 68th San Sebastian International Film Festival for Gull.
