Yoo Teo will be joining the cast of The Recruit Season 2 on Netflix.
The Recruit series revolves around a fledgling CIA lawyer who gets caught up in a dangerous game of international politics.
In Season 2, Noah Centineo’s character, CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks, becomes entangled in a life-threatening spy mission in South Korea, only to discover that the real danger might be lurking within the Agency itself.
Yoo Teo takes on the role of Jang Kyun, a smart and humorous agent of the South Korean National Intelligence Service. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t hesitate to jump in and protect the people he cares about.
The Recruit Season 1 begins with Owen stumbling upon a letter from former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock) during his first week on the job. In the letter, she threatens to reveal the agency’s secrets to the world unless she gets cleared of a grave crime. As Owen strives to fulfill his assignment and establish himself at the CIA, he gets thrown into a dangerous world of high-power politics and players.
Meanwhile, Yoo Teo gained international recognition for his role in the film PAST LIVES, which received Best Feature at the Gotham Awards and Best First Film at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards this year.
