BTS’s V will star in IU‘s upcoming music video for her new song, ahead of his military enlistment, according to an exclusive report by Starnews on the 5th.
IU is currently working on a new album, aiming for a release in the first half of next year. While the exact release date has not yet been set, considering V’s enlistment as an active-duty soldier in the army on the 11th, the music video shoot was expedited to accommodate his schedule.
Previously, V had proven his close relationship with IU by appearing as a guest on her YouTube show “IU’s Palette” in September. The two have built a friendship through their discussions on music and are now so close that they speak informally to each other, a fact that has garnered much attention.
IU has not been active in music since the release of her compilation album Pieces in December 2021. But she held a successful solo concert “The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun” at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in September last year, the first for a Korean female artist.
