Lee Yoo Mi, recognized for her outstanding performance in Strong Girl Nam-soon, recently opened up about her on-screen chemistry with co-stars Ong Seong Wu and Byeon Woo Seok in her recent interview.
Regarding Ong Seong Wu, Lee commented, “We constantly joked around. Both of us are somewhat shy, but we both enjoy having fun, which helped us get closer on set. We would crack jokes and dance around. I think we were able to build our chemistry through these playful interactions.”
She further described Ong as “a diligent actor who studies a lot.” The actress elaborated, “He would always discuss the scenes extensively with the director, and I too would share my thoughts. I got the feeling that he is very serious when it comes to acting.” She mentioned how they’re still keeping it fun between them, sending screengrabs of him, who is currently serving in the military.
The audience’s reaction was divided between Ong Seong Wu and Byeon Woo Seok. On this, Lee Yoo Mi said, “Watching the drama, I thought Kang Nam Soon could go well with anyone. They are such different characters. But the fact that one character could receive such attention from both indicates how charming Nam Soon is.”
Then about those who pushed for Nam Soon and “villain” Byeon Woo Seok, she mentioned, “I already knew it since the shooting. Seeing how charming Woo Seok is, I thought he would have many admirers.”
When asked about her thoughts on more substantial romance projects, Yoo Mi expressed, “While I do have expectations and desires for romance, I haven’t come across such a script yet. If there are people who wish to see me in such dramas, I believe it will happen someday. I am eager and would like to excel in them.”
