NCT’s Jaehyun has announced plans to take legal action against a stalker fan who invaded his privacy.

SM Entertainment announced on the 22nd that “The recently released video is an illegal act that seriously violates the artist’s privacy.” They added, “We’re gathering information on the person who initially uploaded it.”

On the 21st, a video inside the hotel where Jaehyun had stayed was revealed online. The video involved unauthorized filming inside the hotel where NCT 127 members stayed in October last year.

A foreign stalker fan had stolen the hotel room card key, trespassing into Jaehyun’s room and filming his personal belongings. The fan in question bragged, “I used the hotel card key to enter,” while sharing the video.

The agency emphasized that they will “seek cooperation from domestic and overseas websites and law firms” and “request an investigation agency to ensure a thorough investigation.”

NCT’s fans are disturbed by the brazen invasion of privacy, and social media is abuzz with calls for justice and respect for artists’ personal lives. The incident has cast a shadow over what should be an exciting time for NCT fans, with the group set to come back on the 28th with their fourth regular album, Golden Age.
