After taking legal action to suspend their exclusive contract with ATTRAKT, FIFTY FIFTY finally broke their silence two months later.

The members posted handwritten letters on their social media on the 17th, asserting, “Through this incident, we want to rectify the wrongs that have been coercively pressed on me by the agency. Our inevitable choice to protect our music started here.”

FIFTY FIFTY mentioned the word “truth” several times in their statement. They shared, “We are spending each day in agony, unable to express our dismay amidst the snowballing misunderstandings and criticism. However, even within these difficulties, we believe that there is a truth that we must reveal. And once it is transparently revealed, we firmly believe that our fans will understand us and support us even more.”

Addressing their prolonged silence, they added, “We believed that the right way to resolve this situation was to fight in court based on facts. We anticipated that the truth would be revealed during the trial and our legitimate rights would be guaranteed. That is still our hope.”

However, they did not specify what this “truth” was, leading to ongoing harsh criticism from the public in the comments of related articles.

The members also emphasized, “There is too much content in the current press articles and social media that is not true. Nevertheless, we have restrained from mentioning anything related to the termination of our exclusive contract. This is not because we have acknowledged or accepted the media reports released so far.” They further urged, “Please refrain from excessive criticism based on incorrect suspicions and misunderstandings, and we earnestly ask you to observe the objective circumstances.”

Meanwhile, FIFTY FIFTY has conveyed their intention to the court not to return to ATTRAKT. They also accused Jeon Hong Jun, the head of ATTRAKT, of unlawfully using the revenue from music and albums to pay off the advance payments owed to his de facto owned agency, Star Crew Entertainment, and reported him to the police of embezzlement.
