Squid Game Season 2 is in the works at Netflix.
STARNEWS reported that Yim Si Wan will be leading the second season of the mega-hit Netflix series.
In early June of last year, director Hwang Dong Hyuk announced that Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, and Gong Yoo are in talks to reprise their respective roles in Squid Game 2. According to the latest reports, Yim Si Wan is also in talks to join the trio in the upcoming season, bringing a new charm to the story.
Reports have recently emerged revealing that the highly anticipated Squid Game 2 is set to make a grand splash with a staggering production budget of over $84 million. The new season is scheduled to begin filming this summer after completing its casting process for a 2024 release.
Regarding the upcoming season, Netflix stated, “There is currently no confirmed information available regarding the new season or its cast. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but at this time, we are unable to provide any updates about the show.”
Yim Si Wan previously starred in the Netflix film Unlocked, which was released in February, and he is currently preparing for the release of his film Road to Boston in September.
