Kim Sae Ron was fined $15,200 in her first trial for driving under the influence of alcohol last year.
When asked how she felt after the trial, the actress expressed her remorse and stated that she was sorry for her actions. However, she claimed, “Although driving under the influence was wrong, the media reported things that were untrue. So, I don’t know what to say for now.”
Regarding her financial situation, she shared something that differed from her legal representative’s previous statement. Kim revealed, “I did spend a considerable amount of money on compensating for the damage and paying the penalty, but I’m not currently facing any financial difficulties.” She also addressed the recent controversy surrounding her “false financial difficulty” on her way to trial, stating, “I did not file for financial hardship myself. It’s true that I am currently working part-time and have paid a significant amount of penalties.”
Her statements contradicted her attorney’s previous statement made on March 8th, where he claimed that she was the sole financial supporter for her family and had been struggling with financial difficulties due to the large compensation amount she had to pay after the DUI incident.
