Lee Do Hyun graced the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s April issue.
In a recent interview following his photoshoot, Lee Do Hyun shared his thoughts on the release of The Glory Part 2. The actor expressed his surprise at the overwhelmingly positive response to the series, stating that it was the first time one of his projects had been so well-received by global viewers. “I’ve been receiving messages from a lot of my friends overseas, telling me that even people in Korea are starting to recognize me,” Lee Do Hyun shared during the interview.
In addition, he shared his approach to portraying his character’s relationship with Joo Yeo Jeong’s character in the drama. “I wanted to keep my character mysterious, so I had to balance my acting for the melodramatic scenes. It was important to me to avoid being too excessive or cold, so I worked to find the right balance,” he explained. “At the beginning of the project, I discussed this with Song Hye Kyo, the director, and the screenwriter to ensure we were all on the same page.”
The actor further elaborated, “I always found it challenging to convey a lot of energy while moving the least within the given angle. Song Hye Kyo was extremely skilled at that, and she could deliver her emotions without having to express them overtly. It made me realize that actors like her are true experts in acting.”
When asked about the reason behind viewers liking his romantic scenes, he humbly replied, “I think it’s due to the great influence from my co-actor that I worked together with. Additionally, the director who brings out the best in me, the camera movements that enhance my acting, the microphone’s setting which allows for clearer voice and diction, and the lighting that capture the best look of me all played a big part in my acting.”
