The upcoming tvN drama featuring Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara recently offered a sneak peek of their first table read.
Titled Family (literal translation), the show is a comedy family drama that follows a husband who works as a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent, disguised as an ordinary office worker, and a wife who aspires to have a perfect family. The new drama marks Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara’s first reunion in nine years.
The two leads displayed their remarkable chemistry at the table read. Jang Hyuk, portraying the character of Kwon Do Hoon, a NIS black agent, effortlessly showcased his versatile acting skills and pulled off the role of a romantic husband with great humor. Meanwhile, Jang Nara brought a lovely charm to her character of Kang Yu Ra.
The production team said, “The chemistry between the cast members, including the two leads, exceeded expectations at the first table read. We will work hard to deliver a show that is both entertaining and relatable to the viewers. Please look forward to it.”
Family is set to premiere in April.
