Kara’s Park Gyuri denied her connection to her ex-boyfriend’s cryptocurrency fraud case.
The singer’s label stated, “We explained that Park Gyuri has never unfairly profited from any illegal activities related to the cryptocurrency business. However, although she has no connection to the art-related crypto business, she will cooperate with the investigation.”
The Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office announced on February 20th that Mr. Song, the CEO of company P, was under investigation for fraud and violating the Capital Markets Act by disseminating false information to manipulate the market while promoting the art-linked cryptocurrency he issued.
Reports say that his ex-girlfriend Park Gyuri, who once worked as a curator at the art gallery he owned, was summoned as a witness in investigating the suspect. The prosecution is conducting further investigation into her as she seemed to have sold the coins.
Park Gyuri and Mr.Song started publicly dating in October 2019 and broke up in September 2021.
