Lee Ha Nee is returning to the small screen.
It’s been confirmed that Lee Ha Nee will star in the new MBC series Flowers that Bloom at Night (literal title). She’ll play Jo Yeo Hwa, the female version of Hong Gil Dong (Korean Robin Hood).
Flowers that Bloom at Night is the new rom-com historical drama. It tells the story of a widow living a double life and a member of the Capital Garrison. The show comes from My Love from the Star and Deep Rooted Tree helmer Jang Tae Yoo.
Jo Yeo Hwa, played by Lee Ha Nee, is the daughter-in-law of the best noble family in Joseon. During the day, she’s a modest woman, but at night, she climbs over the wall to help those in need. It was previously reported that The Golden Spoon star Lee Jong Won in talks to star opposite Lee Ha Nee.
Meanwhile, Flowers that Bloom at Night will air in the second half of this year.
