The queens of K-pop are coming together.
On the 16th, SPOTVNEWS reported that Kim Wan Sun, Uhm Jung Hwa, Lee Hyori, BoA, and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa are teaming up for the new tvN variety show Strolling Dance Singers (literal title).
Strolling Dance Singers is directed by Director Kim Tae Ho and produced by his production company TEO. For the show, Kim Wan Sun, Uhm Jung Hwa, Lee Hyori, BoA, and Hwasa will form a performance team named “Strolling Dance Singers” and tour around the country.
The idea first came out in Lee Hyori’s variety show Seoul Check-In. Per Lee Hyori’s request, the first ladies gathered at Kim Wan Sun’s house, and while having a great time eating and talking, Lee Hyori suggested, “Like guerrilla concerts, we’ll give out flyers like a rock band on a bus tour.”
And this idea of five queens of K-pop teaming up became a reality. Strolling Dance Singers will launch in the first half of this year.
