Lee Seung Gi shared his plan to make his comeback as a singer.
On the 15th, JTBC’s new survival show Peak Time held a press conference, which co-producers Ma Gun Young and Park Ji Ye, Lee Seung Gi, Tiffany Young, Jay Park, Lee Kikwang, Kim Sung Kyu, Shim Jaewon, and Ryan Jhun attended.
Produced by the Sing Again crew, Peak Time is Korea’s first global survival show that focuses on a team match. From currently-promoting groups that are in desperate need of a chance to the groups that disbanded, the show features the fierce survival of about 30 K-pop groups. Following Sing Again, Lee Seung Gi will be acting as a host.
During the interview, Lee Seung Gi heralded his return as a singer. “I haven’t been able to focus on my singing career because I’ve been focusing on my acting and variety shows, but I need to start singing again. I’ve already asked the producers I know to write my songs. Next year is my 20th debut anniversary, so I’ll be focusing on my music career,” the singer shared.
“I want to train my vocals,” Lee Seung Gi continued. “I think my vocals are my strong suit, and I’m planning an Asia tour. I’ll be back with a solid album.”
