‘Jung_E’ Becomes the Most-Watched Non-English Movies on Netflix

Train to Busan director Yeon Sang Ho‘s new movie Jung_E debuted atop Netflix’s most-watched list.

The film became the most-watched non-English movie on Netflix, recording 19.3 million watch hours from January 16th to 22nd, and came in first followed by Mission Majnu (8.94 million watch hours), Noise (3.37 million watch hours), All Quiet on the Western Front (2.8 million watch hours) and Troll (2.59 watch hours). Meanwhile, Jung_E landed second following Dog Gone (20.91 million watch hours) on Netflix’s Global Top 10 chart which includes all English movies released on the platform.

According to FlixPatrol, the film ranked No.1 worldwide for four consecutive weeks just after a day after its release.

Jung_E ranked in top 5 on Netflix in most countries where the service is available. The new sci-fi film tells the story of a legendary soldier whose failed final mission results in her brain being cloned by a military AI development company in order to create the ultimate robotic soldier in her image.
