Ju Ji Hoon is in talks to play the lead role in the new drama Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour (literal title).
On the 3rd, Starnews reported that Ju Ji Hoon was cast in the new web novel-based series Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour. The actor’s agency H& Entertainment responded, “It’s one of the many projects he received an offer from. He’s positively reviewing his appearance.”
This upcoming medical drama is based on the web novel of the same name written by Hansanyiga, a writer and an otolaryngologist. The story centers around the severe trauma center led by Doctor Baek Kang Hyuk, a character inspired by Professor Lee Guk Jong.
If Ju Ji Hoon does join the show, he’ll be stepping into the role of Baek Sang Hyuk, a genius surgeon in charge of the severe trauma center at Hankuk University Hospital, the best university hospital in Korea. Ju Ji Hoon was mentioned as the best candidate for the role since the novel was published, raising expectations.
Meanwhile, Ju Ji Hoon is currently filming Stranger writer Lee Soo Yeon’s new drama Blood Free. His new movie Gentleman has recently hit the screen.
