BTS’ Jin will be enlisting on December 13th without holding any official event on the day of his recruitment.
Bighit Music released a statement on Weverse on December 6th, saying, “Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting as an active duty soldier. Please keep in mind that there will be no official event on the day of his recruitment.”
Although the label has yet to share the exact date of Jin’s enlistment, it was previously reported that the star would enter the recruit training center in Yeoncheo, Gyeonggi province, on December 13th.
The agency asked fans to refrain from visiting the site to prevent any problems that may occur from crowding.
“The farewell ceremony at the recruit training center is meant for enlisting soldiers and their families. Please be with Jin only in your heart as you offer your warm and supportive wishes,” the statement reads. “We also advise you not to be affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages using artist IP. Our company will take appropriate action against any commercial activity that makes unauthorized use of such IP.”
Jin, the group’s eldest member, born in 1992, will be the first BTS member to enlist in the South Korean army. Earlier in October, Bighit Music revealed that other members would begin serving in the military following Jin’s enlistment. It is expected that the activities of BTS will resume in 2025 when all members get discharged from the military.
