Oh! My Assistant (12/1)

Former F.T. Island member Song Seung Hyun will meet fans through a new BL drama. Based on a webtoon of the same name, Oh! My Assistant tells a love story between webtoon writer Sun Ho and his pricky assistant Moo Young. Song Seung Hyun will play Sun Ho, who gets taken aback by the new feelings he develops for his assistance. Rookie actor Go Chan Bin will star as Moo Young, who falls in love with him at first sight.

Recipe for Farewell (12/1)

Recipe for Farewell is a heartwarming series starring veteran actors Han Seok Kyu and Kim Seo Hyung as a married couple. The drama tells the story of a family man who begins cooking with love and care for his terminally ill wife.

Connect (12/7)

Based on a webtoon of the same name, Connect drew huge attention as Takashi Miike’s new Korean series. It follows an immortal man named Dong Soo of a new race called ‘Connect’ as he gets kidnapped by organ traffickers and loses an eye. When he finds out that his lost eye has been transplanted to a serial killer, he sets out to chase him down. Jung Hae In and Ko Kyung Pyo will show their new sides as Dong Soo and the serial killer in the upcoming series. All episodes will be out on December 7th and will be available to stream on Disney Plus.

Following the success of The Red Sleeve last year, MBC is seeking to create another wave of hype through a new historical fiction drama. The Forbidden Marriage follows King Yi Heon (played by Kim Young Dae), who falls into deep despair after his wife’s death and decides to outlaw marriage in his kingdom. Seven years after losing his wife (Kim Min Ju), who was the crown princess at the time, he meets So Rang (Park Ju Hyun), a con artist who claims that she can be possessed by the late crown princess’ spirit.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 2 (12/9)

Season 2 of Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area has a lot to make up for Season 1. The series is expected to give the world a deeper taste of South Korean culture as it will unveil the inter-Korean summit, the hidden motives of the heisters and a new advocate named Seoul (played by Lim Ji Yeon).

Work Later, Drink Now 2 (12/9)

Kim Bo Tong of D.P. is back with a new drama titled The King of the Desert. Both produced and penned by the producer; the drama follows a group of people who believe money is the most important thing in life and the choices they make. Yang Dong Geun, Jin Goo, Jang Dong Yoon, Kim Jae Hwa and Lee Hong Nae will star in the series.

Missing: The Other Side is a much-loved fantasy drama that tells the story of fraud and deceit in a village that holds the souls of deceased people and those who try to discover the truth behind their disappearance. Go Soo, Huh Joon Ho, Ahn So Hee and Ha Jun will reprise their roles in the upcoming season, and Lee Jung Eun and Kim Dong Hwi will be newly joining Season 2 to unfold the stories that happen in the village.

Based on a fiction novel of the same name, The Interests of Love is about a realistic office romance between four employees at a bank. Do You Like Brahms? director Jo Young Min will helm the series, and Moon Ga Young, Yoo Yeon Suk, Keum Sae Rok, and Jung Ga Ram will star in the show.

The New Employee (12/21)

The New Employee is a BL drama that tells the office romance between a workaholic young man named Jong Chan and company’s newcomer Seung Hyun. It is based on a web novel of the same name, which won rave reviews for its realistic portrayal of the love and work lives of the protagonists. Gwon Hyuk of MBC’s A Good Supper joins Moon Ji Yong of BL Drama Once Again in the cast of the upcoming series.

Big Bet (12/21)

Big Bet is a crime thriller series starring two major actors: My Liberation Notes and The Roundup star Son Suk Ku, and veteran actor Choi Min Sik. It follows the turbulent life story of a man who was once dubbed the ‘king of the casino.’ Choi Min Sik plays Cha Mu Sik, who has lived an incredibly dynamic life, and Son Suk Ku plays Oh Seung Hoon, a cop who is eager to hunt him down.

The Fabulous (12/23)

The Fabulous, starring Chae Soo Bin and SHINee’s Minho, will kick off by telling the story of four best friends chasing their dreams while juggling demanding jobs, romantic dilemmas and wild nights in the fashion industry. Producer Kim Jung Hyun once revealed that he decided to create the show because he got fascinated by the script of its beautiful and nonchalant story, which was different from that of other existing rom-com.

Island (12/30)

The most-anticipated drama coming out in December would be Island, as it comes with a star-studded cast of Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, and Cha Eun Woo. Based on a webtoon of the same name, the new fantasy drama follows the journey of those who are fated to fight against evil to protect the world. The upcoming drama drew huge attention even before its premiere as it showcased Cha Eun Woo in a priest outfit. It will be the first South Korean drama to meet global fans through Amazon Prime Video.

The Glory (12/30)

Song Hye Gyo is set to make her drama return with a new revenge series in December. The Glory, which made headlines from its production stage as Kim Eun Sook‘s new show, tells the story of a school bully victim as she sets out to take revenge against those who wronged her in high school. Ahn Gil Ho, who produced numerous thriller series such as Happiness, WATCHER and Stranger, will helm the upcoming series.
