Hook Entertainment is staying markedly silent amid reports that Lee Seung Gi has not received a single penny of his music revenue for 18 years since his debut.

Dispatch reported on October 21st that the singer-turned-actor has not been paid for his album sales for about 18 years since his June 2004 debut and that he has sent a certification of contents to his agency asking for transparent disclosure of payment for the last 27 albums he released.

According to the data Dispatch acquired, the star earned $7.08 million from October 2009 to September 2022. However, he has not received the music revenue from any of his hit albums and singles.

Reports indicate that Lee Seung Gi had demanded a clear record of his earnings and payments from his agency only to receive answers like, “How can we pay you when your albums don’t sell?”, “Do you know how much it costs to promote your album?” and “We asked the accounting team staff to prepare the record, but XXX didn’t do it because he is lazy as hell.”

The management is now currently unreachable and has not given any response regarding the issue.

Meanwhile, the label admitted to having received a certification of contents from the actor. They stated that they are working hard to resolve the issue amicably without any misunderstandings between the two parties and that it is currently difficult to say anything about the issue due to the seriousness of the issue raised. They are expected to release an official statement on the matter as soon as the situation is sorted out.
