Is Jin making his last comeback before the enlistment with Coldplay’s song?
On Tuesday, Ten Asia reported that Jin and Coldplay’s collaboration song will be released later this month.
Jin teased his solo comeback at the Busan concert held on the 15th. “I’ve ended up becoming the second BTS member after J-Hope to release my own solo album. It’s just a single, not a huge album. I got to work together with some artists that I had always liked, so I hope you’ll enjoy it,” he shared at the time.
And according to the report, the “some artists” he mentioned is none other than Coldplay. The band and BTS dropped “My Universe” last year, making it a global hit. But this time, it’s said that Coldplay wrote a song for Jin, heightening expectations.
An official from Big Hit Music responded, “It’s true that Jin will release a solo album at the end of this month.” However, regarding Jin’s collaboration with Coldplay, they just teased, “The specific date and time and info on the collaboration will be revealed later.”
Meanwhile, Big Hit had confirmed BTS members’ enlistment in the Korean army. Jin is currently preparing for his enlistment scheduled for later this month, and the rest of the boys will also serve out the mandatory duty sequentially. “Both the company and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment,” Big Hit announced on the 17th.
