Hyun Bin shared what it was to reprise his iconic role in Confidential Assignment 2: International at a press conference held on August 16th.

At the event attended by Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, YoonA, Jin Seon Kyu, and director Lee Suk Hoon, the Crash Landing on You star shared, “When I first heard that the sequel to Confidential Assignment(2017) was greenlit, I thought it would be nice to star in it with its original cast members. And I was right as we worked in harmony and had a great time together.”

The actor talked about how things will change in the second installment. He said, “At first, I thought it was a simple job of reprising my role from the first movie. However, I realized that many things, including the stunts and the plot, have been upgraded.” He added, “While I was reading the script, I thought Chul Ryung would be much more comfortable around Jin Tae’s family and with his life in South Korea as it is his second visit to the country. So, I wanted him to be a little more optimistic and open-minded than he was in the first movie.”

Regarding the stunts, the actor shared, “Since many loved the stunt works from the first movie, we gave a lot of thought to making impactful action scenes for the upcoming film. Confidential Assignment 2: International will be filled with breathtaking action scenes that will surprise you. I hope you stay tuned for the gunfights and the battle between the three of us and Jin Seon Kyu.”

Hyun Bin also briefly shared his thoughts about his marriage with Son Ye Jin and her pregnancy. He said, “Things are the same as before. I’m just worried about whether I could meet the expectation of fans and return the love that I have received. As we did our best, I hope many would enjoy the upcoming film.”
