In the twelfth episode of Alchemy of Souls, Mudeok (played by Jung So Min) partnered with Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho) to pit Jang Wook (Lee Jae Wook) against Songrim mages. Thanks to her secret plans, Jang Wook gradually improved his ability and strength as a mage.
Despite being hurt by Mudeok’s cold attitude, Jang Wook showed his unfailing love for her by promising her he would bring back the ice stone she bet against the Crown Prince.
Later, Mudeok was sent to run an errand to Cheonbugwan, and her master tagged along. There, the two witnessed a eunuch (Jeong Ji Soon) running wild, but Jin Mu (Jo Jae Yoon) soon trapped Jang Wook and told the eunuch to feed off Mudeok’s energy.
Jang Wook broke free from Jin Mu’s spell to protect Mudeok but spotted her absorbing the eunuch’s energy. When she was seen afraid that she would harm him as well, he comforted her and gave her a warm embrace.
Lee Jae Wook is drawing attention for his amazing chemistry with his co-stars. He is currently winning rave reviews from viewers for his in-depth portrayal of the character as well as his fantastic stunt work.
As each episode holds a new wonder, expectations are high on how he will be adding more tension and excitement to the upcoming episode.
