Daniel Henney heightened expectations by releasing a photo from the upcoming movie Confidential Assignment 2: International (literal title).
On the 14th, Daniel Henney took to his Instagram to offer a sneak peek at the upcoming sequel to the hit 2017 film Confidential Assignment. Along with the photo of himself with his co-stars Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae Jin, he wrote a short caption “The boys are back in town… this time with one extra. ‘Confidential Assignment 2’… it’s coming.” But the post has been deleted.
Confidential Assignment is about the unpredictable joint investigation of detectives from the two Koreas to catch a North Korean criminal organization hiding in the South. The movie attracted a total of 7.81 million moviegoers, making it a box office hit.
The sequel will be about unpredictable global cooperation between North Korean detective Lim Chul Ryeong (Hyun Bin), who returned to South Korea to chase a brutal crime gang, South Korean detective Kang Jin Tae (Yoo Hae Jin), who partnered with Lim again with hopes to make a comeback to the regional investigation unit, and FBI agent Jack (Daniel Henney). Besides the three actors, the movie has confirmed the casting of YoonA, who played Jin Tae’s sister-in-law in the prequel, and Jin Seon Kyu.
Meanwhile, Confidential Assignment 2 finished filming in June last year.
