JTBC’s Insider joined the Wednesday-Thursday rating battle.
The premiere episode of Insider recorded an average nationwide rating of 2.6 percent, which is higher than the 2.5 percent achieved by Green Mothers’ Club but lower than its last episode’s 6.1 percent.
Insider is a revenge drama about a judicial trainee named Kim Yo Han (played by Kang Ha Neul), whose life falls apart while going undercover to investigate a corrupt prosecutor. The first episode started with Yo Han on the run, and the story goes back in time to a year earlier, when everything first went south. A year earlier, Yo Han was seen infiltrating the prison without knowing he had been betrayed by prosecutor Mok Jin Hyung (Kim Sang Ho).
After Insider aired its first episode, all the Wednesday-Thursday dramas saw dips in ratings. tvN’s Eve recorded nationwide viewership ratings of 3.6 percent and 3.7 percent for its first two episodes. However, its third episode saw a 3 percent as Insider premiered in the same time slot as Eve‘s. The third episode of Eve showed Kang Yoon Kyum (Park Byung Eun) denying his feelings for Lee Rael (Seo Ye Ji) as she constantly made him face his desires.
Meanwhile, the latest episode of KBS2’s Love All Play recorded an average nationwide rating of 0.9 percent. The drama has so far recorded about an average nationwide rating of 1 percent but dipped to an all-time low in the 0 percent range ahead of its finale. Its fifth episode told the story of Park Tae Yang (Park Ju Hyun) and Park Tae Joon (Chae Jong Hyeop) competing in the mixed doubles again.
Seohyun and Na In Woo‘s Jinxed at First will premiere on June 15th following Love All Play‘s wrap.
