tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama Alchemy of Souls has shared its first teaser trailer.
tvN’s new weekend series Alchemy of Souls is a fantasy romance drama set in a fictional country. It follows the protagonists whose fate has been twisted due to the soul-changing magic.
Lee Jae Wook will star as Jang Wook, a virtuous yet troublemaking young master of the Jang family. Jung So Min will play a physically frail young woman named Mu Deok Yi, who later gets possessed by assassin Nak Soo’s soul.
The recently released trailer starts with the great assassin named Nak Soo (played by Go Yoon Jung) exuding her charisma. The scene quickly switches to Jang Wook and his servant Mu Deok Yi playfully exchanging conversation. However, she is hiding her true intention which will shock her young master. With a creepy smile on her face, Mu Deok Yi says, ‘If I restore my strength, you will be the first to get killed,’ hinting at her secret plan to kill him.
Unfortunately, as her body is not strong enough to keep up with her spirit, things do not go as she planned. Expectations are high on how the relationship between Jang Wook and Mu Deok Yi will change and whether Nak Soo will regain her strength to revenge him.
tvN’s Alchemy of Souls will premiere on June 18th.
