Yumi’s unique bob hairstyle in season one has changed to a more mature ponytail in season two. And next to her are Yumi’s love cell and writer cell. You can already guess what this new season will be about through these cells that govern her dream and love.
Yumi’s Cells is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. The first season, aired in September last year, depicted the story of Yumi, who ate, loved, and grew with her cells. The charm of the webtoon was maximized in the series as it combined live-action with 3D animation.
Kim Go Eun will continue her passionate performance in season two. In the last season, Yumi matured through her relationship and breakup with Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun). In the meantime, she challenged a new job with the encouragement of her colleague Yoo Bobby (Jinyoung).
The second season of Yumi’s Cells will paint out the story of Yumi, who now stands at the crossroads of her dream and love. The production team shared, “Viewers will once again relate to Yumi’s story, all the while having their heart fluttered for her love.”
Meanwhile, Yumi’s Cells Season 2 will be released on TVING in June.
